Asylum and Related Benefits
Asylum, Withholding of Removal, and Relief under Article 3 of the Convention Against Torture (Form I-589)
$5000 Flat Fee. This fee is calculated based on a minimum of 33 hours and 20 minutes spent on your case. If my work time exceeds these amounts, I charge for further time at the rate of $150 per hour, billable in one minute increments. If I use less than the predicted time, that fee is credited towards future legal services fees on your case, or is kept as a minimum flat fee, as applicable.
This is an application a person or family who wish to remain in the United States because he/she/they have suffered from persecution in their country or they have a well founded fear of persecution in the event that they have to return to their country. We have a preliminary consultation to see if you are eligible for this benefit. We fill out Form I-589. I prepare the supporting documents. We have extensive conversations about the experiences you have had in your country of origin. I help prepare your personal statement and the statements of other people in support of your case. If applicable, I contact witnesses, social workers, psychologists, doctors, and expert witnesses, and anyone else who may have evidence in support of your case. I research the present conditions in your country of origin and incorporate them into your application. Asylum Applicants always have to go to an interview at the USCIS Asylum Office. My fee for having me attend the interview with you is charged at the rate of $150 per hour of legal services, and $100 per hour of travel time.
